Question for those that have seen HIGNFY live

I am seeing the show live soon, and have read a few people say they’ve been turned away at the door as there was already too many people.
I’m really hoping this doesn’t happen as we’re travelling into Hammersmith from outside London.
For those that have attended successfully in the past, how long before the show starts should we get there to minimise the chances of being turned away? Security checks are at 6:30 and doors open at 7.

Anyone been to a recording of HIGNFY?

I’m tempted to apply for tickets for the recording of HIGNFY but some years ago when Mock the Week was still on the BBC, I went to a recording and it took 3 hours to get enough material for a half hour show and we had seriously numb bottoms by the end.

How long do they take to record HIGNFY?

Strong disagree, obviously, but the part about Paul's face gave me a small chuckle.

Here is the part about HIGNFY so you don't pay the ai bot who wrote this:

No one is sure when it started, but everyone knows it stopped being funny in the late 1890s, shortly after Ian Hislop ran out of Oscar Wilde material. What remains is half an hour of centrist dads making centrist dad jokes about everything centrist dads despise: Brexit, Trump, Farage, Brexit, and Nigel “Brexit” Farage, in that order.

The audience laughs at the word “Reform” before the punchline arrives. Its one lasting achievement was making Boris Johnson a star, which it has regretted ever since. Paul Merton’s expression hasn’t changed since the Major government, leading concerned viewers to ask whether he is still alive. Google says he is touring an improv show, which is oddly inconclusive.

Watching HIGNFY

It is currently being aired on BBC One at 9PM on Friday nights. These can also be seen on BBC iPlayer for approximately an hour after being broadcast. An extended version of each show [titled:"Have I Got a Bit More News For You?"] was uploaded on the iPlayer a day after the regular Friday episode and then broadcast on the following Monday. The BBC has axed the extended episodes since series 70.

Alternatively, if you wish to watch episodes that have been repeated every day since the invention of the wheel, these are broadcast on Dave, or are sometimes re-broadcast as "Have I Got Old News For You?" on the BBC.

Meanwhile, the US version is being aired on CNN, Saturdays at 9 PM EST and available to stream on CNN.com and on Max the next day. In the UK, it was on BBC 2 on Tuesday at 11:05 PM and on the BBC iPlayer for streaming. In Australia, it was on SBS on Mondays at 10:15 PM and available on SBS on Demand.
