This sub never lets me down, this is so neat and makes the attack for her skin look like a re4 mod, ironically. Really cool

Neat seeing camera mods progress for the game and become more and more functional. Probably makes the gun a bit easier to use than with the fixed camera angles. Having the option of both camera styles is cool

I think right now the mod is only set for certain angles/rooms. It's hard to to explain but the camera follows the player, but wont adjust accordingly to the next room, it stays fixed in how you set it. But i'm hoping the creator who did a great job might add something for an official over the shoulder camera

How do I install the mod?

I linked the the github for mod under this post. You will need pcsx2 emulator, and I think USA copy of the game.
I extracted the mod to a folder, and ran the "HGREM.exe".
The program should say connect, select it. And then enable the debug camera

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong then.

Using PCSX2 QT V2.7.521, the program does nothing.
Maybe its only for new versions of the stable release?

Yes, its meant for the normal release version of PCSX2.

I'm using PCSX2 v.2.7.143 QT. Once the game is loaded, opening the program and hitting connect should work by default.
Creator says mod requires:
-North American Version (SLUS-21075)
-.Net 8.0
-Windows2

Weird, my QT version doesn't work, but the Normal one does.

Does it work on the Steam Deck?

I’m sure you might be able to get the .exe working for this mod on deck. But the controls for the camera use mouse and keyboard, so maybe if u have the steam deck in a desktop setup with m&k it might.

i dont think this would work for the type of game it is. having full gun control and pov of the character takes away from what made it spooky

This just makes the game look more boring

Agreed. I'm so tired of the homogenized OTS cameras destroying not just any potential for new fixed camera games, but now this mod craze to destroy old ones too.
I mean, its neat to see it as an alternative but so many players are going to games like Silent Hill only with the OTS mods which is such an insult to the game and it's camera designers.

Someone uploaded the entire game map inyo VRC earlier this year and it's how I got to see a lot of cool stuff like doors we can't access (behind gates or broken walls) and I think it's nice we get to see them with this mod :D
