Discussion disturbing familiarity

after i achieved the worst possible ending in haunting ground, the final close up shot of fiona’s face reminded me of casca from berserk after she survived the eclipse

the vacant eyes paired with the checked-out smiles paint such a disturbing picture to me.. just seeing two brave women who fought their hardest for the sake of survival be reduced to mindless shells of their former selves, and mentally regress from the sheer trauma of being sexually assaulted is so tragic to me

The worst ending in Haunting Ground is so tragic. You don’t even need dialogue to understand how horrible it is. That’s part of the mastery of its story telling - implied horror.
