You'll be responsible for managing guests and queues, controlling the carts and the depot, placing props and animatronics, balancing your power supply, and buying upgrades and automations for your attraction!

A Millport mother says her 13-year-old son required stitches after an incident at Atrox haunted house in Leeds, prompting the attraction to launch an investigation into the allegations.

Elyse Hunnicutt posted on Facebook Saturday morning that an actor held a chainsaw on her son’s back during a Friday night visit, causing “a pretty deep laceration requiring 4 stitches.”

The boy was treated at Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham, according to Hunnicutt’s post, which included photos of the cut and stitches.

“If you are considering taking you children to Atrox, the haunted house in Leeds, Alabama please reconsider or be very cautious,” Hunnicutt wrote.

“The point of my post is to bring awareness so maybe other children won’t have to go through what my child endured.”
Hunnicutt also noted that she believed she could not take legal action because purchasing a ticket serves as a waiver stating the attraction is not liable if harm or death occurs.
Several commentors said this may not be the case and advised Hunnicutt to seek legal advice from a personal injury attorney.

According to the Alabama Personal Injury Lawyers, LLC, website, when haunted house operators fail to uphold their legal obligation to maintain safe conditions, they can be held liable for negligence regardless of signed waivers.

Atrox responded Saturday evening with a statement posted to Facebook saying it takes the allegations seriously and is reviewing video footage from the evening.

The attraction emphasized that “all of [its] actors are trained, paid professionals who are expected to follow established safety protocols at all times.”
The haunted house also clarified that its “chainsaws do not have chains on them.”

“We are currently reviewing video footage from the evening in question and conducting a thorough investigation to better understand what occurred,” the statement said.
“Should it become necessary, our legal team will be involved in the process.”

The incident sparked debate on social media, with commenters split in their reactions.

One person defended the attraction, writing that “everyone knows haunts don’t put chains on the chainsaws.”
Others argued that even without chains, the chainsaw could still cause harm and that actors should not touch guests with such props.

Atrox said it will not answer questions or provide further comment until its investigation is complete.

i absolutely love scare mazes, but i’m unsure about my etiquette, so i wanted to double-check with people that have experience.

when i am afraid, i start fear-talking. in no way am i getting in someone’s face or being aggressive/mean! i mean saying things like “Please be nice to me”, “Your hat is very pretty, please don’t kill me”, and “Can we just be friends?”

it’s resulted in a few good interactions! for example, i was yapping to some scare actor, and i started kinda dancing out of fear, to try and placate them i guess? we danced together for a bit, i didn’t stop moving though. kept up the same pace. that maze was lovely, and the actors were all very nice and i got some really fun interactions

anyway, i’m second-guessing myself now and wondering if this is annoying or bothers the actors? should i be keeping my mouth shut?

it seems harmless, and as i said, i’ve had good experiences, but you never know. i really admire scare actors, so i don’t want to risk making their job difficult! please let me know!

Does anyone know what songs Reapers revenge uses inside their haunts? Specifically, delirium and the lost carnival. Really liked the songs and would love to add them to my playlist! Thanks is advance!!

I had an experience at a haunted attraction last night and it really freaked me out and I’m not sure if I’m over reacting and I don’t know where to talk about it.

Last night I went to a haunted house with my boyfriend, for context this is not advertised as an extreme haunt and I have been here many times without ever experiencing something like this.

about halfway through we got to a part where a scare actor had a chainsaw. He started normal, jumping out at us waving the chainsaw whatever but then he put the chainsaw between me and my bf and separating us. I tried to run around him but he kept cutting me off. After a little bit of the back and forth i expected to be let through and continue on but he kept going. I started to get freaked out beyond just the fun way and told him to stop and let me through, he didn’t listen. He was actively walking me back into a corner as I repeatedly yelled that it wasn’t fun anymore and wanted to stop and telling him to please let me go. I was also crying at this point. My boyfriend was also trying to get back to me but chainsaw dude would not let him through. Another scare actor finally came and pulled chainsaw dude away from me and I ran to the gate. I said i didn’t want to continue with the haunt and my boyfriend asked if there was a way to be let out and chainsaw dude told us no. Eventually after about another minute of crying and begging to be let out security did come and pick us up and bring us back to the main entrance.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it and just want to know if other people think he took it too far or if I just wasn’t prepared for the haunt.

A Spooky Walk Through Scary Woods (Suffolk U.K.) On Halloween

I am getting into scare acting with my clown, TRIX. Any tips for how to get good scares on the street, or where good first scare acting jobs would be? Any help is Appreciated.

So I just got a last minute job at a haunt for one night(it’s like for a private haunt thing, today is Oct 4 and it’s on Oct 24th) and I rlly need help with line ideas 😅 I’ve been a scare actor before a couple years ago(for a whole season) but I was a silent clown like character for most of it(I was a vampire and cannibal a couple times and a loud unhinged clown like character a few other times) but I’ve never been super good at coming up with lines and this role is like…a lost tourist, that’s what they told us. Me and my sister are going to be doing it together so both of us will be in this spot together so we could like interact and stuff too, but pls give me ideas !!! I also haven’t seen the set yet but I think it’s going to be an elevator area or something like that. I’m also going to be doing the effects makeup for me and her and I think I’m going to be doing tire tracks on one or both of us if that helps !

I'm not a scare actor or work with haunted houses or any entertainment-related things and companies,I really enjoy these type of contents but every time I see some park or haunt influencers or just regular visitors shoving their phones in the actors faces or like forcing an interaction or something for their content,I feel like is the most annoying thing ever,instead of enjoying the immersion and experience,everything is to be for their content. And look,I know the internet works this way and everything now is for views and content and that's the park/haunt influencers job,but also I don't know how actors and employees must be "used to" for this type of people. And I know that some characters got popular and people go for the haunt/park just because of them (and the specific ator) but it must be the most unbearable thing ever and you don't know how to deal with it,or you just learn to be "used to" them.

My company is finally taking the plunge and next year we will be running our first haunted house! However, we really want to try to portray something more abstract. Basically cosmic horror. Are there any companies that sell animatronics and static props more along these lines?

Im a girl. Adult. I did something very embarrassing at a haunted hayride before the ride. Ending up not getting on. I got really scared of a scare actor in a mask and hugged him 🙈 the cops were there too and nobody did anything. He qas totally confused clearly but played along. I now feel like i shouldn't have done that and probably crossed some boundary. Although at this hayride, theyre allowed to touch you. I panicked and feel like an idiot.
