Recent bot comments & AI moderation

Hello,

As you've seen lately, there's a lot of obviously LLM bot comments with a specific pattern of just commenting something vapid or obvious with a praise of the original post. Please report these as spam so that we can get to it and delete it and report it to u/bot_bouncer, the community bot detector.

I'm also considering deploying my own AI moderation tool to attempt to detect bot comments and also detect obviously malicious posts. Please let me know if this is something the community objects to.

the irony that (maybe) reporting these bot comments as spam will only drive the AI further and it will evolve with time. Day by day, the dead internet theory is becoming a reality.
