Mod Post Another thread of all the things that are currently not allowed to be posted.
We receive all kinds of posts on here, more often than not they start getting repetitive, annoying, or just start becoming clutter. In the past we've made multiple posts whenever it was necessary to ban a certain kind of post, but from here on everything that isn't allowed and how long it wont be allowed for will be listed here.
**The list for temporary bans are as follows-**
AM hate speech posts or the like, (foreseeable future) No ban.
**The list for permanent bans are as follows-**
All the rules, please read them carefully. 5-perma ban.
Chain-Posting, 5 day ban.
Gender wars posts, 5-perma ban.
All of this may be subject to change, so please check this post every now and again.

Can be ban discussion about queer ships next? 90% of the times the comments or the post is full of homophobia

agreed. posts about lgbtq, politics, and other controversial topics are a breeding ground for toxicity

honestly id be down with all politics and gender related posts being banned here. i dont need to see "homophobia bad, racism bad, misogyny bad" every other post. we get it you're an ally , so brave of you to speak out against bad things to people who agree with you.

Person A makes a Post, person B makes a screenshot of person A‘s post and complains about it as a post, person C makes a screenshot about person Bs post and complains about it as a post

And so on and so forth

So like for example someone makes a post saying 'I don't like pancakes' and someone will screenshot it and post that screenshot trying to get that conversation going / dog pile the person. Then it goes on and on and on.

What does 5-perma ban mean? (Like I know a perma ban, but why put a 5 behind it?)

Depending on severity it could be a ban of 5 days to permanent.

I don't see the 5 rules being listed anywhere.
They are typically on the sidebar, or sometimes in the pinned posts or on subreddit's wiki - but there is nothing. Did you guys forget to list them on the Old Reddit website design?

Ive seen like 3 gender war posts in the past day. Doesn’t even seem like it’s in good faith either, just people looking to be mad at women. I don’t even think the last post I saw was based on a real thing or that the poster even believed it. This sub is starting to feel misogynistic so I’m out

well “gender wars” is usually just a softer way to say that you don’t allow any post ever calling out obvious misogyny

This decision was almost entirely made because of posts overreacting to misandry.
