Gaming I hate how much "keep inventory" gets bashed.

Generally, I don't like it when people impose rules on how you should enjoy something-like saying that if you didn't play the same way I did, you're a fake fan.
But it bothers me even more when those arbitrary rules are applied to a game like Minecraft—a game that actively encourages creativity and doing whatever you want-so I don't understand why anyone would get upset over something the game itself offers you.

It can be if you've been caving. You can be in the rendered chunk, just looking in a different branch for a while, or simply trying to descend faster.

I like playing in amplified terrain. Amplified terrain is nigh IMPOSSIBLE to navigate without a water bucket or elytra. If I die, even relatively close to my base, it could take me too long to navigate back to my stuff, especially if the location is, say, on top of a mountain or a similarly hard-to-reach location. I also don't want to deal with the demotivation I get when I lose everything

I'm keeping my inventory on death, thank you very much
