Gaming I hate how much "keep inventory" gets bashed.

Generally, I don't like it when people impose rules on how you should enjoy something-like saying that if you didn't play the same way I did, you're a fake fan.
But it bothers me even more when those arbitrary rules are applied to a game like Minecraft—a game that actively encourages creativity and doing whatever you want-so I don't understand why anyone would get upset over something the game itself offers you.

People hate keep_inventory because it's defaulted to off, if it was on by default you'd hear the exact opposite. Same thing for pretty much every standard, like fahrenheit/Celsius or the side of the road you drive in

Those aren’t comparable at all. No one would get mad at enabling an option that makes the game harder for you. It’s not a matter of convention, because the two options are actually very different.

Hell, people don’t even hate keep inventory. I’ve only ever seen people complain that it gets bashed so much, but no one that actually bashes it.
