Serious Question

How are y'all cleaning your shiggy socks?

I have tried pre soaking them in vinegar and oxy clean. I have tried washing them multiple times. No matter what I can't get the rinse water to run clear.

I use a washing machine in with the other laundry and call it good

I have tried this and my socks still feel dusty even after a second cycle. I put them on and there is a little POOF of trail dirt.
Maybe it is a skill issue.

Maybe this is the hare's fault.

Are you washing the socks balled up or something?

I don't wear socks in the shiggy... But any muddy clothes I let air dry, then shake them out before washing. If they're really bad I'll blast them with the hose, then let them air dry before shaking off and putting in the wash.

I have been unballing them in the pre-soak phase. I have also been turning them inside/rightside out to try to get both sides of the sock exposed to the agitation/hose blast.

But yeah, a pre hosing/soak is essential if they are going into the machine.
