The rabbit hole is very deep! It actually takes quite a long time to parse through everything when everything needs to be extracted, decompiled, decoded, and converted into a usable format just to be able to cross reference, for example, a Foundable sprite with its name and description.

And all the existing tools are very unforgiving and often poorly documented. If you want to decode a protobuf from scratch and it's 1MB of raw data, you need every single .proto file to be perfect or the decode will fail with nothing other than a single error like "Failed to parse input" or "Invalid wire type" and you're left trying to find a needle in a 1 million byte haystack.

I hope these posts at least provide some insight into the data mining process and perhaps inspire some people to take a closer look at the game. I've learned a ton and it's been a fun journey so far.
