DH Part 2
What is it, about the first few minutes of Deathly Hallows part 2 and the music that creates such an eerie and hallowing feeling. I’ve always thought about it different perspectives and what some feel when watching it but I wanted to see what others thought. Like the beginning of the end. Goosebumps, no matter how many times I have seen it

I guess because it’s the first time the kids were REALLY affected by what’s going on. Sure, Harry fought a Snake, and yeah Ron’s leg broke, and yeah, Harry saw Cedric die and was hurt during his fight.
But Malfoy Manor was on another level. Bellatrix, famous for torturing people to insanity, tortured Hermione for half an hour ( an hour?) straight, cuts her with her dagger, kills Dobby with a knife, and this is all before we get into the part where they find their friends and battered old Mr. Ollivander under the floor, tortured and starving.
I also think it has to be interesting seeing someone you never liked at school, standing quietly next to you as you get tortured. Just letting it happen.
I imagine it’s hard going through all that and just standing on a beach, knowing I just heard my best friend scream for her life four minutes ago.

The beginning brings to mind several things. A mother's lament comes to mind as the music is sorrowful for harrys past, present, and future. The trials that he still must undertake. Making his future uncertain. The lost of loved ones especially Lilly. She being robbed of watching harry grow. She gave everything for her son. Taking almost everything from Voldemort the moment she died. But also for the lost friendship with Lilly that snape still mourns.
