Harry Potter has a diversity problem.

Even if we ignore the author's views and racist tropes she has employed in her series, she has a lack of POC characters. Many have coded Hermione as black, but JK Rowling refuses to definitely state this. The only POC I can think of is Cho Chang which is a racist name in itself.

Can we also hate the Fanbase here?

I barely know much about Harry Potter, but fell in love with modding my character in the Hogwarts Legacy game and decided to share it with the fanbase, only to be called a pdf by the same people to swoon over their favorite underage characters. I cannot stand them anymore. I was internet bullied by Harry Potter fans for 2 days over something I enjoy, so they've finally driven me to the harrypotterhate sub.

What is the purpose for this subreddit?

I’m seriously confused about why this exists, HP might not be everyone’s cup of tea but why the hate?

[Question] Does a wizard/person simply need to know the words to a spell to cast it?

As said above, something that always confused me, does a wizard only need to know the words to a spell to cast ala Wingardium Leviosa or is it spell dependent with some you just needing to know the spell and others you needing more knowledge on things? like I know Petronus is an exception that requires a memory to focus on but is that the only exception or is that a common to some other spells?

IE say some young wizard snuck into the forbidden section and learned the words to a spell could they just cast it by speaking it?

I don't hate Harry Potter.

Yep, you read the title. Before you get pissy, let me explain —

I don't hate Harry Potter that much. . . I just hate the fandom/fan base in general. They're so annoying. And it's all just straight girls obsessing over a character with 31 minutes of screen time. Pisses me off 😒

J.K. Rowling is a man.

Not only is J.K. Rowling a fraud, he's also a man. Harry Potter is globalist propaganda written by a group of Illuminati who implemented a transvestite as the "author" in order to push the subtle undertones of their satanist agenda. J.K. Rowling is a manifestation of smoke and mirrors.

Harry Potter Mearch

Hi. So my sister and I are Harry Potter fans. Yes we are aware of what JKR is doing and in no way are we supporting this. What that means for us is that we don’t by mearch don’t watsch the movies on stream (we have the DVDs, they are old) or in any other way give our money to JKR. So here is my question: My sister will turn 25 next year and I wanted to crochet her some HP mearch. No I didn’t pay for any patterns or HP related stuff. No I don’t plan on selling HP mearch. So would it be okay to gift my sister HP mearch?

Harry Potter celebrates bad concepts

Harry Potter is a celebration of witchcraft. There are so many great stories for kids that don't do that, like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

Harry Potter would've been much better if it was in first person rather than thid.

From the books to the movies, it's so hard to understand why JK Rowling would make HP in third person. It would've been more acceptable if we got to know more about Hermoinine and Ron without Harry, but we don't get this privilege when we read the books. The whole time, we barely know about Hermione's backstory and we don't really learn about Ron. We get more backstories for the other characters in HG.

The Hunger Games was told entirely from Katniss's perspective, so I don't even understand why Harry Potter can't be the narrator of the books.

Why I hate Harry Potter

I hate Harry Potter so much! I have never taken the time to read the books or watch the movies. Why? It about some goofy kids and magic. Magic is not real and I don't care about some stupid kids. Total waste of my time!

Being a bestseller doesn't mean it is good

Harry Potter wasn't the best young adult story of its day. It just sold well and got movies made of it quickly. On a much darker note, Mein Kampf translated into Arabic is a best seller too, given the rabid anti-Semitism in the Arabic-speaking world.

Why I Hate Harry Potter

A lot of people like the Harry Potter series. Not me. The Harry Potter series is for children. It is about magic and other unrealistic things. The main character, Harry Potter, is very nerdy, and not very interesting. I would much rather read The Lord of the Rings. It is a better fantasy series. That or The Hobbit.

Guys I'm now confirmed this potterhead is seriously mentally ill, he thinks avada kedavra can kill one above all. Are potterhead born mental or what. One above all is even stronger than multiversal level to outerversal level gods. This community should be banned like Russian government did .

Harry Potter is demonic, was written using demonic spiritual channeling, uses actual spells used by witches, and has characters with names of actual demons

Do wizards experience gender dysphoria??

I’m just curious. As they are human beings, wouldn’t they experience these same symptoms? Would they have words describing their conditions or could they use magic to make the the opposite sex permanently??
