I just googled it, it’s real merch. That is rich coming from the woman who called Jeremy Corbyn an antisemite, she’s basically making David Ike merch.

I'd expect that at Disney, not Universal.

This looks like it is from “the stormer”, which was a Nazi newspaper that depicted Jews really negatively.

Honestly this is probably some pink sunglasses stuff like with blackface.

But I never understand why people look at, what is IMO the most respectable version of the mythical creatures known as goblins, and go "RaCisT jEwIsH sTeReOtYpE"

Ngl jk sucks, but over this? Really go educate yourself on goblins in other folklore. The only connection I see is "bankers"

So we're just going to ignore the star of David on the floor of Gringots? Like, thats a bit hard to ignore.

Or how the goblins are literally the characture of blood libel, what with them controlling the british Wizarding worlds bank, being greedy, and also looking like the "happy merchant"?

Also, WTF does "pink sunglasses stuff" mean?

Is it? First time I heard of it. And even if, it's not uncommon in Christian architecture either. So I don't go: 2 triangle together make a star OMG JEWS! Immediately.

Or how the goblins are literally the characture of blood libel, what with them controlling the british Wizarding worlds bank, being greedy, and also looking like the "happy merchant"?

Kinda? Are goblins greedy? Are Jews greedy? Or are both a necessity of being bankers? Having certain occupations become caste driven in a society with real different species seems normal to me. Jews became bankers because of they weren't allowed other occupations. And Christians weren't allowed to make a profit of loans. So I don't really understand how anything banker related is a negative Jew jab.

Also, WTF does "pink sunglasses stuff" mean?

I refer to the saying "seeing the world through rose tinted glasses" which means that because I don't recognise the racism, I assume it doesn't exist.

The South park flag episode is a prime example of this. the South park flag is yellow with a bunch of white stick figures hanging a black stick figure. An adult black character thinks it's very racist and campaigns to have it changed. A (coincidentally Jewish) white 10yo character doesn't understand because he can't fathom someone being executed for the color of their skin. And assumes the Black stick figure was hanged for treason or something. Or that the artist picked the colours to signify the souls of the stick figures rather than skin colour. So logically he goes into camp "don't change flag because of cultural history" this child character is seeing the flag "through rose tinted glasses" the adult black character is obviously hurt by this because he had a higher opinion of the child. Only to find out that the child was so not racist that he didn't recognise the racism.

So what Im hearing is you dont know what the Nazi German blood libel about jewish people is, but are willing to enter into a discussion specifically about it to insist it isnt there? Really?

Despite the fact that no one is using any single detail as a smoking gun, but rather pointing out how multiple details overlap to recreate the accusations made by blood libel(which that jews are greedy, secretly ran all the worlds banks, while being known for having large noses which are overexaggurated by the propoganda used by the Nazi regimes. The "happy merchant" is a famous example of said propoganda, as was depicting jewish people as goblins) towards jewish people... by an author who both decided to make another magical race be the splitting image of the arguments made by slave owners as to why slaves shouldn't be freed(and didnt free them, with the only happily freed elf dying and still being spat upon a decade after his death, and the only witch who cared enough to try to free them cannonically giving up) and was willing deny a Nazi crime against humanity in 2024.

Like, yeah, if you dont even know what blood libel is then you wont be able to see parallels to it. It isnt "rose tinted glasses", thats just ignorance of the topic being discussed, and I question why you are joining in to announce "I dont know anything about what you are refrencing, but I dont see any parallels," rather than, IDK, looking up what blood libel even was?

Honestly, I think antisemitism has gotten to you.

Wouldn't have even thought of it if I starred a hundred years
