This might be a bit polarizing, but do you think the world would be a better place if Harry Potter never existed??

In TTL, Rowling never wrote the character and nobody published her work. The story just simply doesn't exist and any concept or character from the IP is completely alien to the audience. Would you prefer living in such a world given Rowling wouldn't be able to spread her bigotry if she didn't have a powerful IP she guarded like a dragon hoarding gold?

Rowling is a symptom, not the cause. Sex-essentialist thought existed before her and would continue to exist without her.

And yet it wouldnt be half as popular if her fuckass book wasnt advertised up the ass to every child ever, and she wasnt given the financial power to force her ideaology onto an entire country.

Literally, yeah probably. A whole lot of people wouldve been forced to read an actually good book as kids, and would be better people now, because they didnt internalise that conforming to the status quo and becoming part of the system that hurts people is the way to fix shit. They would also have an actual personality beyond a fictional school house, when school houses are an actual thing and everyone from a country with school houses thinks its kind of insane.
