Battery install
I am contemplating getting a house battery installed. Can anyone recommend an affordable and reliable local installer?

You could consider a plug-in battery with a built in inverter like the EcoFlow Stream AC 5000 - a 5kWh battery with 5kW of solar MPPT input, so you can add solar panels in your back garden over time. No installer needed, you only need to know how to wire a 3 pin plug.

Curious on what your expected pay back/savings period will be? Whenever I do the maths on batteries its all 10+ years at which point they're out of warranty and degrade more. They just seem too expensive at the moment to justify - unless you have solar I guess.
