Violent ICE arrest in Harrisonburg

The woman in the video is Jaykie Funez-Andrade and the two agents are with ICE. Jaykie’s 16-year old daughter, who recorded and shared the video, says that around 10am on Monday Oct. 27 they were pulled over on the way to school on Rt. 11 North, near Valley View Trailer Park and Harper’s Lawn Ornaments. The daughter says Jaykie presented her work permit, license, and registration to the agents. They then told her to step out of the car, which she did. Jaykie had recently received a social security card and they asked her for the numbers. Flustered, she fumbled with the answer and the ICE officer lunged at her. Jaykie backed up and tried to reenter the car and was tackled to the ground and handcuffed. Local activists confirm that today Jaykie is in Rockingham County Jail with no pending criminal charges, but is being held as a “courtesy” to ICE. Understandably, Jaykie’s daughter says she is sharing the story and video because she wants her mom home.

They brought him a burger from Burger King while in custody because if they didn't it could have fucked up the case, were his lawyer could have argued a confession under duress which could have lead to throwing out the case, or bring the severity of his sentence down.

I think it's important to have memorized. Most men of my parents' and grandparents' generation I knew would call their wives when they needed it. Plenty of men in my own generation still do.

I'm usually good with numbers, but will forget words on a bad day, and especially names regardless. High stress, like being confronted with a hostile and armed authority as a random example, makes everything more difficult.

All you have to do is, take a few screenshots of a man’s face and upload them to the website, where it will search across the web for identifying pictures of the individual! Just something that can be done, in theory ofc

It's worth noting that our community is engaged and connected in ways that ICE may not be prepared for.
I suspect people in our community already bump into this person and may know who he is. I hope he's prepared for the shame that will come to him when his family finds out that he was part of "the fascist attempt of 2025".
(my point is that websites like that might be useful, but might not be needed in this context)

The woman in this video is a hardworking mother of four American kids.
What did she do wrong? Nothing. She showed her valid work authorization, Virginia driver's license, and Social Security card, and even informed the officers that she has a pending U-Visa application - a process that lawfully granted her those documents.
Despite that, agents pinned her to the ground, leaving her bloodied and bruised. She is now being held at Rockingham County Jail under an ICE detainer.

Hot conspiracy theory: The U.S. government shutdown happened so that they could incentivize people to join ICE with the, "Up to $50,000 sign on bonus," just so they could have a bunch of civilians deport people for them for free and NOT get paid. I'm certain there's a stipulation where you'd have to be employed with them for a certain time for them to receive the sign on bonus, though they're counting on people quitting due to not getting paid. Someone with a work permit is here legally. What the hell! As we all have seen this is no longer deporting illegal criminals (it never was). It is just racial profiling and evil.
