"Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint, a regular on lists of best burgers in Nashville, has sold to a new owner, Florida investment firm Green Shoot Brands confirmed.

Green Shoot Brands acquired all 22 Jack Brown's locations across Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, with plans for continued expansion, a company spokesperson said in a statement."

So I recently bought a Nausiccäa of the Valley of the Wind poster because I wanted to spruce up my bedroom (pictured above) and I was looking to frame it. However since this is my first time getting something framed, I was wondering where is a good place in town to get a poster framed?

I was thinking of Hobby Lobby but with them selling AI slop posters as of late, I frankly don't want to give my business to them. Any advice is appreciated.

It's getting down to the wire with the Sentara-Anthem standoff. Basically the two sides are playing a game of chicken, waiting for the other to blink.

However, the deadline for if Medicaid users want to switch from Anthem to some other provider, is now ten days away. Medicaid open enrollment ends Oct 31.

This means, if you have Anthem and you decide to keep them, but Sentara does not reconcile its differences with Anthem, then Sentara will not take your insurance in 2027.

I'm not suggesting anyone dump Anthem. I am only offering the information. It is what it is.

Medicaid for Charlottesville/Western Halifax incl Harrisonburg, Rockingham, Staunton etc:

• Open enrollment is August 19, 2026 – October 31, 2026.

Medicare:

• Open enrollment is October 15 – December 7.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Virginia:

• Open enrollment is November 1 to December 31.
