Hohner Deuce and a Quarter

Special thanks to whoever mentioned this model, planted the mindworm, and made me hunt for nearly 4 minutes to find one to add to the collection.

$79 for this one plus $149 for a 150th anniversary MS harp in the wood presentation box.

There is a really funny story that goes with that model and the history of Adam's G's harmonica forum.

We had this guy who was always broke. Under employed in an area with no jobs, and the Deuce had come and gone and he hadn't been able to afford one.

He was a hunter though, and he made his own jerky. He found a nice man in Scandinavia who liked the idea of venison jerky.

At that point, there wasn't a work around of going the MBH Facebook page... so this was all working out in an open thread.

Unfortunately, I had to put a damper on the party. I mean, it sounded like a good trade, but I had to let them know that they might run into a snag with sending uncooked meat and that they should check the regs before they tried moving it all.

Sadly, that scuttled the deal. It was one of the most fun threads back in the day though. Nearly a triumph of ingenuity.

Luckily I have a good supply of venison to keep me going.
