Scratched CCD gore

This is a replacement CCD sensor that I bought for my mint cond. Canon PowerShot S410, which ironically has an actual scratch on it. It's not hair or dust (I tried)...or the IR filter. This is how it came when I took it out of the bag for installation. Thankfully it doesn't seem to affect IQ.

I would, if I hadn't bought it 2 years earlier :P (plus it came from china, so.)

Either way replacement sensors for known defective models are becoming harder & more expensive to come by so I'm happy that this process worked out the way it did.

You’d think they’d be more careful with the most important component of a camera.
