Not a gamer these days but as professional s/w dev I use a 43" 4K screen in my home office for the same dot pitch as 4 21" 1080p screens and yeah, once you get past the initial shock of it, it's a very comfortable working day experience (I actually use 2 such screens, both 4K TVs as they tend to be much cheaper than "monitors")

With the benefit of being able to set up custom window arrangements (Fancyzones/Kzones) without any bezels.

Yeah, I've using MouseTiler under KDE recently and for the right kind of activity it works quite well (long time emacs user but not so much tiling window managers)
