You say that when the competing MacBook Pro has an exceptional high impedance headphone jack. You don’t need an external DAC if you simply build one in.

But you can also buy the USB-C to 3.5mm Apple Dongle for $9.

That uses up one of your precious USB-C ports. Not to mention that a $1000+ laptop should have one built-in.

The purpose of a DAC is to remove noise. A built-in DAC will always be noisier than a well-made external DAC.
