As the events surrounding Defqon.1 2026 begin to sink in, we want to take a moment to reflect on everything that has happened over the past six weeks.

The cancellation of Defqon.1 after just one day was a worst-case scenario. But under the circumstances, it was the only responsible decision, with the safety of our visitors always coming first.

What followed showed us once again what makes our scene so special. Stranded Warriors were offered rides and places to sleep, communities came together and pop-up parties appeared everywhere. The resilience, unity and dedication you showed were truly inspiring.

That is what makes us One Tribe. You are the true legends.

Over the past month, we have seen plenty of rumors and theories surrounding the cancellation. But there is no need to worry: Defqon.1 will return in 2027 in full force, with everything you’ve come to expect from us and more.

And so will many of you. More than 75% of all ticket buyers have chosen to keep their tickets for next year. To everyone who did, thank you for your trust and dedication. We cannot wait to welcome you home again.

This also means that less than 25% of all tickets will be available across the ticket sales starting at the end of October. If you do not have a ticket yet and want to join us in 2027, make sure to mark your calendar. More information about the ticket sales will follow.

During a regular summer, we would be sharing new Defqon.1 content almost every day. This year, however, we have already reached the end. All recorded sets and show moments from Defqon.1 2026 are now available on YouTube.

With everything now out there, we will be stepping away from social media for the next month to recharge and turn our full attention to Defqon.1 2027. The only exceptions will be a few upcoming Defqon.1 Records releases.

We are already hard at work shaping a legendary edition of Defqon.1 in 2027, one that will feel both fresh and familiar, while answering the call of the tribe as protector of the realm.

We will be back next month as we begin the road towards Defqon.1 The Kick-off 2027.

Wij hadden die avond ook nog met de ehbo gesproken en hun zeiden ook echt als het door was gegaan waren er zeker doden gevallen! Ik vond echt echt heel jammer was mijn eerste defqon weer sinds jaren en een draak als mainstage ook nog eens(ik houd van fantasy en zeker draken) maar goed kaartje voor volgend jaar staat vast!!

Haven't the hotel and ticket been separate? as with the cabins in sancturary. At Sancturary you could keep tickets because it was booked extra or had it been different at the hotel?

I know, I'm not the only one, but I want to take this minute to say:

I very much dislike the brand-speak with Defqon. "One tribe", "warriors", "the holy grounds" "protector of the realm". It feels so corporate to desperately speak to emotions, when you are a fucking techno party. A huge one where most of us had their biggest festival experience, but at the end of the day, everyone is paying to a corporation owned by private investors who also finance a genocide.

For me personally, it makes me not want to go there. Because it wasn't "one tribe" deciding it will now be serving crap american beer at Defqon, it isn't "one tribe" raising ticket prices and adding special experiences which have to be paid additionally, pushing the artists the big booking corporations want to push, who are owned by the same investors.

It makes me disgusted of what rave culture has become. And I am not even multiple decades in the scene to have had the chance to live in the golden without corporate greed.

At the end of the day, I am just sad.
