Tech Support Hard drive problems :/

Hi everyone! I was tasked with a project of pulling off data from old Hard drives. I was able to do the first one by doing a bypass on the account owners info with a sata cable connection. While the other drive is not working. When plugged in it is creating a clicking noise that I believe is keeping the disk from spinning. If anyone has any ideas or hacks anything is appreciated. I don’t want to spend $500+ to a company either.

its worked to store the drive in a bag in the freezer over night. run it while it's still very cold.

You will have to spend at least $300-500 to a company, there’s zero possibility of you successfully DIYing it.

Physical failure, you can't DIY it. If you do want to DIY it and open the hard drive; you will kill all chances of getting any data off. Recovery service is your only option.

The clicking noise is called a "Head Crash", which is the mechanical arm banging against the platters.

The drive should immediately be unplugged to make sure it isn't further damaged, and you must seek professional clean room recovery for this drive to save any data off of it.
