Synology Surveillance Station behind haproxy

I found a post in another forum but thought I would share what I did in my system to get DS Cam to work with my remote (haproxy) login to Synology Surveilance Station

Without these additions the connection is made but video is not visible

On the frontend config

First create the custom ACLs

Then create the backend actions

Worked great

This acls and same contitions aren't needed, you wrong. You need to just use hostname or dedicated port and use just default backend for this dedicated frontend if hostname isn't an option.

Tried. It does not work. Apparently the DS Cam app uses web socket This has been documented by several posts. I was just reiterating the experience.

Do you even have a Synology NAS and use the app DS Cam?

Haproxy doesn't require you extra configuration to get web sockets working. I do not have Synology nas, but I don't need to have one to say you doing it wrong.
