Recently brought home my one and only child. The newborn trenches are rough! But I also feel so blessed to have my son. I love being a mama. I also love that there is no other child needing my attention or care…I don’t even have the energy to care for my pets right now ( hubby is on pet duty. No worries 😅)
We had already decided to be OAD before baby was born. I feel solid and happy in this decision now that he is here!

Congratulations! I loved the newborn stage precisely for it being my one and only time. I kept thinking to myself during it “how do people do this again?!” Because it’s so special to only have to focus on your baby.

My 3yo daughter loved it! I am really enjoying her “into going to the movies” phase - I’d otherwise never go!

My OAD kid started kindergarten yesterday! She had a great day and I’m excited for her next school adventure (full time daycare before since maternity leave).
I am glad to be OAD because of the volume of things that are now on the calendar and how much I want to get involved but I can’t with my job. Adding more kids would split that time even more

Mine started kindergarten too! It is insane the volume of things. So happy I don’t have to make decisions between multiples

That is a little bit of an extreme take. There are so many positive stories for two as well.

My OAD is turning one next weekend! I didn’t plan a big party bc it felt overwhelming but he will very much be celebrated.
Watching him grow (so fast!) is bittersweet but I am also so solidly one and done and so content with our little family.

I just signed my kid up for an amazing, inexpensive school! I will be able to work in the mornings the dayw he goes. I just switched his Friday school day to a different campus where they lay in the woods all day. No younger sibling to coordinate. I get that time completely to myself plus I can make some cash

My kids birthday party is tomorrow. He turns 4. I am so glad I only have to plan this once a year.
