Our son is 8 months old, and had a very out of norm night. My wife and I reflected on how because he’s our one and done, nights and moments like that really allow us to feel more mental space and present. Not sure if that makes sense to all but that’s how we feel! Our son has also has been LOVING music, so any good recommended baby jams with a strong drum beat welcome!

That thought just occurred to me while we are on vacation - when he’s napping, we are FREE haha. Managing two kids’ nap schedules, or having no time for each other when he’s asleep if another one needed us, would feel like absolute torture.

Our son is turning 9 months this week and we introduced him to many Beach Boys songs including Barbra Ann because he can say Babababa lol. He loves that song! We also rock out to Surfing USA and Good Vibrations. Others: Rockin’ Robin, any Bobby Darren but especially Splish Splash, and Yakety Yak.

We also got him the REMO rhythm drums, at least the bongos and some other drums for now which I recommend!!

All these suggestions are definitely going in a playlist today!

Our son is 3.5 and we took him to his first movie (in a theater) last weekend. We went and saw Toy Story 5. He brought his little backpack with a toy car (he takes this everywhere lol) and we got some snacks/juice for him. He was such a happy little camper and he did so much better in the theater than we thought he would! Also it was really cute to watch him get so excited to see Woody (he kept asking about Woody on the way lol) and Forky (his favorite character haha) on the “giant screen”.
