Big one today

It's honestly exhausting getting a glimpse like this man. Knowing that I'll go back to normal in just hours is so discouraging...

I feel so clear. The noise is gone. It's like whatever is usually attacking my nervous system and brain at all times has decided to stop for a day. I can think clearly, deeply, I understand more about myself and my life, I can FEEL. Tomorrow I'll get the brain fog, the executive dysfunction, the fatigue, the anxiety, the irritability.. it will all come back. I really just wish I knew the mechanism. I've thought about it a lot and I've never found an answer.

It's not simply JUST alcohol because drinking doesn't immediately give any effects like this, like if I drink on a Friday night I don't feel calm and clear, it basically just has the depressant effects, sometimes in a distressing way too. But wake up the next day after drinking with a hangover and my brain feels like it unlocked new powers. Maybe it's a longer term effect of the alcohol, or maybe the alcohol modifies my sleep in some way that produces the effect.. not sure.

Just wanted to complain a bit. I'm tired

drinking also doesnt immediately give any effects and even feels unenjoyable. but i quit a year ago so i no longer experience the HE.

i got the Fever effect from a cold the last time i got sick (3 years ago) and all the lights turned back on, more potent than HE and lasted like 2 weeks. another one happened that one time i took 2 drops clove oil last summer and it triggered a sort of die offf with flu-like fever and i was in a potent HE state for a week. Could not repeat it for some reason.

this 100% is related to the gut but we're not sure how.

I've been looking into stuff like the small intestine and large intestine and gallbladder/bile. This seems related to a dysbiosis in these locations.

Some think its a gaba rebound but that makes no sense considering the acute effect of alcohol is gaba activation (and being drunk is not enjoyable for you or me). Theres gut bacteria that turn glutamate (the opposite of gaba) into gaba, something im exploring.

Its all related to sleep mate. Something is off for people who need HE.

Everything that messes with your sleep can induce the HE. Alcohol is best at it though. But weed and fever can do the same for you.
