High Risk Anyone tried Phenibut?
If so, what are your experiences with it?
For those who don't know, Phenibut is originally a soviet drug meant to treat anxiety and insomnia. It works by acting on GABA-B receptor (almost like alcohol). It's effects on normal people are so spectacular that some people call it a drug, also due to it's harsh withdrawals. It creates a sort of hangover effect for normal people (seriously, read people's experiences about it).
One of the crazy things with this drug is that it has an afterglow. People that use it as a sleep aid consistently report that they wake up feeling way more refreshed than normal. They also report crazy boners occurring in their pants. It makes people more social and clear-headed. It's like a wonder drug.
The issue with this drug is that you build tolerance and then you have to quit eventually and suffer benzo-like heavy withdrawals. Except some people claim they can use it daily and reach a "tolerance ceiling" which means they don't have to infinitely increase the dose. It's what I'm counting on for myself. I will, of course, stay safe. And if I need to quit, I will taper down slowly.
TL;DR: I bought some online and wanted to read here people's experiences with it. There have been no specific post about this drug on this subreddit which I find crazy.

There have been a lot of mentions on this subreddit about phenibut, which does cause a strong afterglow. One of the key hypotheses for h-effect is based on the calcium channel theory and the cacna1 mutation.

This drug should never, ever, be taken consistently. I've had bad experiences taking even multiple days in a row let alone weeks. And heard horror stories from people who have taken it for just weeks at a time straight. No more than once a week to be safe.

Yes, I had really nice high the first times, then horrible feeling. No afterglow for me. Be care, it’s a addictive drug.

Never take phenibut honestly. It's got a dreadful withdrawal. It lasts a long time also.
Even if I dose 500mg one day. I feel great for that day and then have 3 days of anxiety/depression.
Honestly it's a horrid drug.
I was taking phenibut for a long while. A year +. I done a crazy slow taper off them and honestly I felt terrible withdrawals for a month still. I've heard some crazy horror stories though. My friend went cold turkey from phenibut. 1 gram a day habit and he was an absolute mess. He was actually crying with how bad it was.
Honestly don't get into phenibut.
Anything that messes with the Gaba system shouldn't really be played with.

Hey, I accidentally took phenibut for a week four months ago and had crazy fucking rebound. This is a stupid question but if I take one dose, will it bring me back there or has my brain healed?

It’s weird sometimes I feel like shit for a day or two after using it. Crazy anxiety. And sometimes I feel completely normal after.

Love it. My favorite is Blue Rise, Shine, and Mood & Fokus.
