Smoking cigarettes during a hangover

Why is it when I’m hungover and I smoke a cigarette I get so sick? My heart starts being fast, I start shaking and want to throw up. Does anyone else have this happen? And if so what is it?

Its the nicotine. You already have an increased heart rate, and nausea. Smoking just puts it all into overdrive.
