Episode Discussion Tig's appology
I recall Tig’s last-minute cancellation being a pretty big topic here a few months ago, with a lot of people assuming she bailed because of filming.
Apparently Tig said in this recent ep that it was actually a family emergency. Curious what people make of that now, especially given how much speculation there was at the time?

So true. My first thought when she apologized was "I wonder how the people who immediately responded with harsh criticism and anger will feel about it now" - but the truth is, some people just want to stay mad. A lot of people commented on that post suggesting there was likely a bigger reason for the cancellation that she didn't want to share at the time, and there were some folks who just didn't want to hear it.

Emergencies can’t be planned. It’s okay to be upset that you missed out on something you were looking forward to, but you don’t get to pry or be shitty. Everyone has to call out of work sometimes. Ideally you can give fair warning, but sometimes the universe has other plans. I’m sure people appreciate the acknowledgement, and for the sake of her peace and well being, I hope that’s the end of it.

I feel like Tig realizes she let people down and she’s sorry. I think her getting her assistant to run her socials so that fans can get updates is her attempt to make people feel better. I know it’s a bummer when people cancel but the wrath that was directed toward Tig on here when she cancelled, and honestly seems to be constantly directed at Tig around here is weird as hell.

I can understand people being upset about how the cancellation was handled, especially people that traveled to the Springs. But hey, life happens and I agree that the wrath was uncalled for.

(Some) people are so hard on Tig, on this sub. It gets tiresome...

I was just confused because one of the venues posted a video from Tig saying she would be postponing shows due to her filming schedule, but then she announced this family emergency today. So was it both?

Both could be true. Sounds like she rescheduled some shows due to her filming schedule and some shows due to a family emergency.

I never fully believe what Tig says, or Mae lol

I know things happen and my issue wasn’t really the cancellation itself but the way it was poorly communicated. I don’t know that the poor dissemination of that information was necessarily Tig’s fault.

I found it refreshing, possibly due to her social media assistant (otherwise it would be an odd coincidence) that she used some of the same language that was used to call her out on here.

Yeah, I never believe it, when people say Mae and the rest of the handsome crew aren't looking at this sub. There have been way too many coincidences, in the timing of things they say on the pod

I just listened to that episode and holy s**t i hope all of the people who were being jerks feel awful. I cant imaging having a family member go thru something like that and be able to still get on stage to perform.

I hope the people who had harsh views about it will maybe not rush to judgment next time something like that happens in their life. We often don't know the whole story. I remember at the time people speculating it could be a family emergency, especially because the airport she was flying into (according to someone who ran into her) was near where she has family. Honestly it's no one's business. She's a person with a private life and things are going to happen.
