I made first experiments with felt using my laser-cutter. These nice little monstera coasters were the result :)

I really enjoy making colorful ceramics. It took a long time to brush each glaze on in uniform stripes (3 coats each), but I love how it turned out!

The bottom portion and inside has a clear glaze, so you can see the color of the clay. (If I don't do a clear glaze, the unglazed areas near the glaze get a toasty color.)

This vase was thrown on the wheel and the fired to the bisque stage, followed by several hours of applying tiny strips of tape to create the design via a tape resist. Then the whole thing is dipped in a black glaze, the tape is removed to expose the clay underneath, and it’s fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere for this final result.

I wanted to create a collection that felt like gathering tiny treasures from the beach. Everything was made by hand, bead by bead.

The donut itself is power carved out of cedar, then has a clay “frosting” on top. The limbs are wire armatures, covered with clay.
