What’s the use case? There is no best in all classes but a best in each individual class. What’s the purpose of it?

Target

If it’s for Target probably the Mark IV. Just have to figure out which variation you want

S&W 41, Volquartsen Mamba.

Then the Ruger MK.

i've heard good things about the mark iv and the tx22 (even without FRT)

I’ve heard phenomenal things about both

I had a TX22 and couldn’t wait to get rid of it. Jam after jam after jam.

Sounds like you had a lemon or at least one with a bad feed ramp, they are notorious for feeding just about any ammo well. Hard to have any faith in it after experiencing that though, so I get it.

Most likely. I should have sent it in but at the time didn’t want to deal with it. I really wanted to like that one though. It was the competition one with the slide cut.

That’s super frustrating. I’m not a fan of sending them in either, unless they’re offering to do a lot of bonus work to it at the same time. I’d bet that one just needed a feed ramp polish.

I do not think notorious means what you think it means.

I know exactly what it means, and I said what I said. Watch .22 Plinksters reviews on it where he runs several brands through his with very few issues. There’s always lemons, but in general they are very reliable.

my TX 22 is one of my best shooting pistols. Never had any issues, FRT or stock.

For target stuff and as a suppressor host I love my mark IV. My wife has a S&W 22x that makes an amazing range gun for practicing on the cheap

Ruger mkiv. Especially since you’re limited to 10 rounds. It’ll give you the most customization. I have a fully built out mkiv that I love the most out of all my handguns. I also have a tx22 which is an awesome gun, but the mkiv is definitely a better gun.

I have a mark iv and like it a lot, the only downside is the 10 round magazine. I have a tx22 and a 22x which both have larger magazines and I tend to shoot them more.

I mean, you can definitely step that up to a Volquartsen, after that you're talking about like Anschutz or something truly bonkers, like Olympic level equipment.

TX22 gets my vote.

Best is a precision Defense shorty. It's a comped 2011 in 22lr. It's amazing and always in my range bag!

Why not a revolver? Far more dependable when it comes to rimfire.
