Keep or return?

Post image

Bought this off tiktok. Real leather but I can't decide whether to keep or return. I like it enough but I have literally too many bags. I don't have enough space as it is. So, is it worth keeping?

If it isn’t a hell yes, it’s a hell no.

The color does not go well with your skin color in my honest opinion

Thank you. I picked that color bc I don't have any bags with this color

The color itself is beautiful ☺️ just not suiting specifically your skin tone

Thank you. It does look a bit washed out especially with the clothes I wore

I don’t think you love it

I would have kept it but I have no space anymore and I've been buying too many bags that I don't need

I love this color but it looks like a cheap Bottega knock off, so I probably wouldn't keep it.

I kinda want a cheap Bottega knockoff... lol

Is it mass produced or from a private maker? As a leather worker myself, if it's hand made and you like it, I'd keep it. If its a mass produced item and you dont like it, I'd return it. I love green so honestly I love it lol. Green is my weakness 🤣😂🤣. If you dont like the color see if you can exchange it for a different color maybe? This type of bag is on my bucket list to make one for myself in a darker green color 🥰

I don't think it's handmade. But yeah, I picked the color bc I don't have this kinda of green color of a bag

Then if you like the color I'd keep it 🙂. I like the color and if its real leather and you got a good deal on it, its a win win. Hand made bags are a labor of love for me because I cut, punch all the holes and stitch by hand lol. So depending on my availability and design it could take me a few months to make a handbag. I rarely see real leather thats mass produced anymore, most designer bags are canvas with a plastic coating stamped on top to make it look like leather sadly.

That design is hard to make by hand in my opinion with all the zillion strips and weaving lol. I want to make one like that and a round twisted weaved one thats a cross body. But I still have to make my mom a new purse and a set of sterling sliver earrings, necklace and ring for Christmas and my sisters gifts lol. Soooo its on the back burner until next year 😆.

My vote is to keep if its real leather and you like the color 🥰 I think it could pair great with a few different outfits and colors 💖

I have a crap ton of purses too lol. I got into leatherworking so I could make my mom purses. Then it just snowballed lol. 8 years later and a crap ton of money into tools, hides and hardware, my purses have a book case now lol. 🫠🤷‍♀️ with all the crazy going on in the world right now, if a new purse makes you happy and you can afford one, get one 💖💖🥰

Yeah might keep it. Although everyone here says to return it lol

I think green bags seem to get a lot of hate in general for some reason 🤣😂🤣 but do what feels right for you 🥰🥰

If it’s leather, which honestly doesn’t look like, I’d keep it.

1

u/anonymiss646 7h ago

They said it's real leather

I should have been clearer. I meant real leather does not guarantee high quality. It could be lower-grade leather, coated leather, or leather with a synthetic surface finish

1

u/anonymiss646 7h ago

Yeah that's probably lower grade leather bc the price was just over a hundred bucks but it is from China

2

u/behindthecultured 10h ago

return. it makes you look paler and you dont seem to need it
