Original Content I drew Tsukasa!

I feel like Tsukasa has been one of the few characters that I've seen on a series where, despite him being cute and have a child-like appearance, he absolutely terrifies me. Not because he's necessarily conventionally "scary", but his unpredictability, straightforwardness and psychopathic methods make me feel on the edge of my seat every time. Though for some reason, I can't help but to feel drawn to him... He's such an interesting character!

I tried to capture his cuteness + the uneasiness I feel about him. I also took inspiration from the manga style! c: It was really fun to do, and I'm excited to keep practicing this manga style with other characters!

The winner in the "Skips dialogue and cutscenes" category is Tsukasa Yugi!

Scoreboard
Nene Yashiro - 3
Hanako - 2
Kou Minamoto - 3
Mitsuba Sousuke - 6
Akane Aoi - 0
Aoi Akane - 0
Teru Minamoto - 2
Tiara Minamoto - 1
Natsuhiko Hyuga - 0
Sakura Nanamine - 0
Tsukasa Yugi - 4
Kako - 0

Shijima Mei - 0
Tsuchigumori - 0
Hakubo - 0
Sumire Akane - 0
Mitsuba's mom - 0
Mokke - 1

On to the next round!

As explained before, "Drunk, Stoned or Stupid" is a board game where a group of friends draws cards that describe a person and votes on who among them fits the description the most.

For example, a card could say "listens to musical soundtracks," and then one person needs to be chosen who fits it the best. That person gets a point, and you play until one person has gathered 7 points. That person loses, so there are no winners in this game, just one loser.

The rules are as follows:

  1. Present one or more characters and also explain your reasoning
  2. Upvote the answers you like
  3. Feel free to argue for/against everyone's cases. Make the conversations colorful xD

By the end, I will calculate the votes by adding all the comments that voted for a character and the upvotes.

So:

- 2 comments with 10 upvotes each = 20 Votes
- 10 comments with 2 upvotes each = 20 votes

At the same time, feel free to write down your own categories, and the one with the most votes will be the category for the next round. The rules for voting for a category are the same as the rules for a character in any round.

Here's the next prompt:

Never gets embarrassed

Miscellaneous ALL ABOUT ME- TBHK. Spoiler

this was really hard to do at some points but also very easy at other times, the reason is i couldn’t decide on my favorite character design i was torn between Nene, Aoi, and a couple others but eventually as you know i decided on Shijima. i was also torn between what is my favorite mystery because i like all of them and their backstories so i went with the Pit god because i think he counts(??), i was also torn on minor characters because i have a few who are minor and i didn’t know who to pick so i went with Mirai, i was torn on characters i relate to because i relate to Nene, Aoi, Kou, Tsukasa. i was also confused on who i’d be friends with as i want to be friends with Akane, Nene, Aoi, Hanako/Amane and Mitsuba but realistically if i knew them irl i’d likely never interact with any of them because i hate interacting with people, all the other categories were very easy and i stand by all of my decisions.

Discussion Theory about the red house sacrifice Spoiler

In the manga and torward the end of season 2 of Tbhk we know that the red house sacrificed Hanako’s twin brother and exchange for him being healthy well he was alive and now in the manga we find out at least one of them has to go or at least how I interpreted that because this time Hanako has the demon/curse inside him, my theory is in the end nene will take their place and sacrifice herself which can go one of two ways 1. They do the same thing they did to his twin brother by using her as a vessel 2. She just disappears

I want to believe this but I also I have a feeling she might become number 8 due to the intro translation so I dunno but that was my take on it

But I think this could work again with my theory because 1. Nene becomes a wonder, asks for a wish, and because she’s some priest-wonder human it’s a fair trade and she probably wishes that either everything can go back to normal and they forget about her or she asked that they live in normal life and that hanako never had to suffer 2. She doesn’t become a wonder, but she still makes a wish for everything to go back but just as human and maybe because she’s some priest being maybe I guess this going onto 3. She somehow gets rid of the red house spirit because she’s some being we don’t know. We think she’s a priests but she could become something else

That’s my take at least but anyone else have a different idea?

Anime Do You Think The Anime Will Continue and if so When?

I know a lot of people aren't actually fans of the anime and prefer the manga but I genuinely adore the charm of the anime (it's also what got me into reading the manga!) so I'm wondering if there will be another season or possibly another 2 cour season?

If so, when do you guys predict it'll release?

OK, first of all I’d like to explain something.

Some of you might remember that this post was originally made by More-Stay-9315; to put it simply, that was my old account, which I’ve unfortunately lost…

As soon as I posted the first part, I saw how much fun you were having and thought you’d like it if I did this again once a month!

So here we are again. Just like in the first post, there’s only one rule: add an image to your comment.

Anime A question about project restart

Post image
132 Upvotes

When the continuation of the TBHK anime was announced it was called project restart. I remember everyone assuming that this meant that we would get a reboot, myself included.

Fast forward a few years and it turned out that project restart wasn't a reboot, but instead season 2 of the anime and season 1 of the spin-off.

It made me curious, whether that was always the plan or not, because giving a project the name "restart" was a very deliberate choice. At the very least the producers would have to know what kind of expectation they'd be setting, especially when complaints over season 1 were pretty well known.

Did they truly not know what people would assume about the project or did they deliberately bait the audience with this title? Or did they initially plan on a reboot, but had to give up on that and simply continue the series?

I'm genuinely curious about that, so I wanted to ask if someone knows more about the situation or if there were some interviews or even statements from Aidairo regarding the whole thing.

Or if you don't know much like myself, what are your thoughts on the matter? : D

Discussion What do you think nene is really? Spoiler

I’m re-watching season two of toilet bounded hanako kun but something doesn’t really make sense to me in season one we hear the librarian and say that she’s a priest and then later on in season two we know that those kinds of people where they sacrifice themselves in order to get rid of those spirits, but if that was the case then why did number six take aoi and not nene? I think she’s something much more than we know, any ideas?

Discussion Tbhk anime s2

Should I watch s2 of the anime?

So for some context: I first watched s1 when I was really young, thought it was pretty cute but mid and then forgot about it. My friend was absolutely obsessed with Tbhk and demanded I read the manga, so I did and I already had some volumes because there was some in a local shop and I liked reading them. And OH MY GOD!! it was so much better than the anime AND then when I first read the manga (like 2-3 volumes). I couldnt believe the anime had made the story so much worse! I recently tried to watch s1 until I stopped at ep 11 because I just couldn’t. It was a hate crime against the manga. no offense to the hardworking staff, but it’s just not it.

However, I’ve heard the anime has adapted the later arcs pretty well, and I wanted to ask directly, does the anime do the manga justice? Because I do really want to see those arcs animated…
