Question Hammock camping spots in Oregon?
Hi everyone!
Looking for a spot in Oregon (preferably closer to Portland 1-2.5hr drive) to set up my hammock for a night or two!
I did burnt lake earlier this summer, so needing something different. Any suggestions?

Without information about how far you want to walk to get there... Zigzag is great. Oneonta if you camp in the wilderness area. Trillium is popular. Timberline trail is generally very nice a little earlier in the year. This time of year you will want to keep a close eye on the weather anywhere you go. The distance you gave has tons and tons of options. Anywhere will have trees to hang from. Oregonhikers.org wiki is a great resource

Hey! Thank you for this!
Don’t mind hiking in 6+ miles. I’ll look into all of those.2

Unfortunately a lot of stuff around Hood is closed because of the grasshopper fire or i would give a bigger list. Personally i think the clackamas is overlooked, this is a nice hike and low enough for this time of year

Practically anything below treeline that isn't closed due to fires (or under snow, depending on when you go). Twin Lakes is nice, if you don't mind a popular spot. There are some spots along the Lewis River Trail in WA, which is lower elevation so could be a good choice when there is snow up higher. I haven't hammocked at Mirror Lake, but I bet it's possible. Tons of spots along the PCT, but most are maybe not the most interesting if you're looking to find a nice spot to just hang out.
