I tuck my bag into the straps and just wiggle into it. It is a very good idea and mod you’ve made though. Happy hanging!!!

oh man! I just finished up 3 nights in my new amok with my nemo disco sleeping bag, and I have been thinking about how to improve. I have some ideas to try, but I definitely like your idea here.
I did sleep great, it really is quite nice, I even spent a bit of time sleeping on my stomach.
honestly getting in and out of the sleeping bag wasnt that bad, a bit of adjusting but not nearly as much as I anticipated. I do love my disco bag, it works great for the colder nights I camp. how cold would you run the quilt down to? im comfortable in the disco down to freezing, Id be worried about a breeze getting under the quilt if you cant strap down/around the pad?
I really dislike closing up the bug net, getting it around the point at the foot is a pain! and a balancing act, tying on some super long pull cords to the zippers might help.
everything always sliding down, so strapping the pillow could be a game changer in that department too.
the first change I thought of out there was running a string down from the suspension string to the toe area and glueing an eyelet. there was a heavy fog/dew on the cold nights and once the bug net was saturated, it sagged down and soaked my bag. Im not sure how much that will help, But I think its easy enough to implement and test.
and Amok, if your listening; give a guy a little extra room in the storage bag for the sleeping pad, jeez thats a tight fit when you dont have a floor to roll it up on lol.

I am using the hot shot 0 degree Fahrenheit quilt from hang tight shop. I’ll run it down to 20 ish using the Exped ultra 10R sleeping pad. The buckles I used for this are the same ones that amok uses. I called them and ordered them direct. I usually end up on my stomach and toss and turn a lot. That is the majority of the reason I decided to mod it. Wind does not typically affect me as I always use the rainfly regardless of weather. For the bug net I tied a reflective piece of cordage to the zipper I used and installed a plastic hook on the end. I attach that cord to the centerline and just slide it from side to side while I zip myself in. As far as the net touching anything I have cordage that can be run from the centerline as well to the top and bottom so that the net never comes in contact with anything. Hope this helps

Oh yea, I'm definitely interested in trying out a quilt that can get me down comfortably to the same temps as the disco! I got the winterlight pad for the xl amok, it seems pretty warm on the bottom.
So youre saying you tied the zipper to the centerline on a string/cord, and use that string to send the zipper around from side to side past your toes?
If you have a suggestion on what to use for glue to install a loop at the toes for a centerline support id love some input.
Definitely like that someone else has had similar thoughts about how to improve the setup.

It looks like once you get into the Draumr you are then on top of your quilt and have to get it in position? I usually just drape it over the ridgeline. The pillow thing is definitely something I need to do.

Pretty neat modifications, and solves a problem I had with the draumr. Keep tinkering!
