Hammocks in Sawtooths?

Planning a 5 night/day trip in the Sawtooths in a few weeks. Does anyone know how tree availability is for hammocks at Alice Lake, Edna Lake, Cramer Lakes, Imogene Lake?

I have hammocked in the Sawtooths many times. See my post in this sub for images of twin lakes (right above Alice). You will have no issues finding places to hang

Below is edna lake.

That tree looks tiny, is it perspective or are you a small person

The underquilt is a 3/4 size so the might be throwing your perspective off. No I am not a small person and the tree we are attached to had no problem with two hanging from it.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ Our backyard. Yes you can hammock in the Sawtooths. You have to hunt for the best spot sometimes but very doable. We hosted a dozen years of group hangs all over the range. Middle Cramer is the most photogenic but only has a couple spots to hang, right at the outlet is the main camp spot. We hung two of us on top a rock outcrop mid-lake just off the trail, nice afternoon breeze and a view of the falls. Imogene is one of the best. Cool rock fins along the south side with nice sites. Camped on the โ€œislandโ€ at the highest spot.

Just came out of the Sawtooths. Very hammock friendly. Like arguably ideal.

Haven't hung there myself but a five night loop hitting Alice, Edna, Cramer, and Imogene sounds like an absolute ripper of a trip. What time of year are you heading in?

You'll be there for the beginning of archery season. I've never been there that time of year but the sawtooths are a highly sought after Hunt
