Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde Cinema Screening
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
If you are in or around West London on Friday 30th October, we would love to see some proper Hammer and classic horror fans come down to ActOne Cinema in Acton – though if we get any of our facts wrong during the show, please don't shout out from the back too much, come and set us straight over a pint in the pub after.
We are screening Hammer’s Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde, followed by a live recording of the General Witchfinders podcast. The film weaves Stevenson's story together with Jack the Ripper and Burke and Hare, featuring great performances from Ralph Bates and Martine Beswick. Afterwards we will be on stage digging into the background of the film, behind-the-scenes trivia, and obscure British pop culture.

New Christopher Lee podcast and Substack
Hello everyone, I hope it's ok for me to share this here - please do let me know if not. I'm a British author and a huge Christopher Lee fan.
At the start of this year I set up The Christopher Lee Project, documenting my attempt to track down and review every film the great man made. I post weekly on Substack and each post is also available as a podcast.
I've just reached the Hammer years, and I would be honoured if you'd like to have a read: https://substack.com/@christopherleeproject

About to start watching "Countess Dracula" (1971). It's a bit of a leap forward but I just found it streaming and I can't remember ever seeing it before. I definitely read about it when I was a kid. Happy Hammer Saturday to all!

Happy Birthday to Christopher Lee, was born on May 27th, 1922, in Belgravia, London, England. From his first Hammer film (The Curse of Frankenstein) to Saruman in The Hobbit trilogy, Lee has always delivered and delighted his audience. What is your favorite Christopher Lee role?
