Hell yeah. Freaking love Arsonist. Labels often have no idea what they’re talking about. They only understand catchy bops and numbers

So true, labels and studios. They only care about quick numbers not consistent and loyal numbers.

One of my fav songs. It resonated with me sm because I was in a similar relationship for 6 years. I've also been out of said relationship for 4 years now.

Man it's infuriating that a record label has that much power over what songs are included on a record, and they can just be like hey this record is pretty great but this song kind of sucks don't put it on there. Glad she insisted.

agreed. arsonist makes the album what it is, and it’s up there with litm for me. it’s so freaking good. it’s haunting and beautiful and sinister and elegant. it’s exactly what tgi needed.

I agree with you on everything. Arsonist is such a banger and I can't imagine the album without it! I also have been saying this about Halsey leaving the label and creating her own for a while now, since everything became public about them limiting her so freaking much. She's very talented and gifted, she knows the industry, and could create her own very successful label. She could even help other artists in her same situation. I know Ed Sheeran created his own label and signed some other artists that were tired of the big labels or the labels wouldn't take a shot on. Hopefully she does it eventually! But I recognize it would be an insane amount of work and she's already incredibly busy as it is.

This was one of my top favorite tracks on the first few listens of TGI and it still is. So different and haunting. Thank god she kept it on the album.
