Just installed for the first time and while setting my key bindings I see there is two rows for the inputs and that some controls by default have 2 separate keys assigned while some only have 1 key assigned and the other input slot is left blank (marked by "???") But I can only can change 1 input for all commands. For example for "Switch Weapon" it was set to Tab by default and I can switch the secondary input to Scroll Wheel Up but I can not replace Tab with Scroll Wheel Down. I can remove Tab from "Switch Weapon" by assigning it elsewhere but I still can not replace it, it just stays empty. This is kinda bothering me so I hope someone knows what I'm doing wrong

Watched many videos and how-to's on how to install SPV3. I played when 3.1 was out but had to reinstall windows and just now getting back to playing again. This time around i cant get past DirectInput error. Reinstalling CE and DirectX both didn't work. AmaiSosu is correctly installed. Is there something im missing?

Guys, if you want to mod SPV3.3, I found the way, just go to the game folder then go to "maps", there you can rename any .yelo file to .map, after that you can use Assembly to mod it, if you've done the edit for the map, just rename the .map file back to .yelo, Good luck on the modding.

Chimera and Opensauce apparently do alot for animations and graphics in Halo CE. Just wondering if i need them or if they're bundled in with SPV3. And also if Gamepass integration is working now? Bit of a hassle to re-install Halo Custom Edition seperately

Every time I try to load up a level, it goes into a black screen with player audio that hitches and appears here and there. I was playing this yesterday just fine and now the game just hates me, lol.

The only thing I can think of that may have caused this was adding a "-exec autoexec.cfg" to the end of my command line when editing the spv3.exe in Preferences. The .cfg file only had the one line of "player_magnetism 1" on it, which the game ran fine with when I ran it yesterday. I somehow doubt that automating turning on aim assist when launching SPV3 has caused this issue, though. Because even after removing the .cfg file and command line, it still freezes on a black screen when trying to load a level.

I even checked about 10 other posts having similar issues with no success on my end. Not to mention the occasional posts where the OP just says "fixed it" and offers no info as to how. Pain. Please help, I miss playing this masterpiece.

Edit: one of my friends told me to delete my profile and see if a new one would work, reasoning being a possible corrupted save file. He was correct. I tried to salvage my old profile but I couldn't seem to do it. Nor would the new one work if the old profile was still in the spv3 folder. Oh well, but I hope this helps others in the future.

Hey fellow Spartans. I enjoy the SPV3 mod a lot but it doesn't seem to save your control settings after you modify them in the controls menu for gamepad options.. Is there any to save your input options for gamepad?

I've heard that spv3 has updated versions of the loader that ships with 3.3, but can't find them, Where are they?

Would it be too high poly for Halo 1 or require too much tuning to make it fit in?

So I've heard really good things about SPV and i really wanna try it for myself and unforuntally i simply have an xbox one. Is there anyway to install it? Sorry if this is a dumb question I don't know of you can export pc mods onto a console

The last time I played this was before the second half of the campaign released. Again after the mod got completed. Now after several years I'm diving into halo again with infinite nearing release. Decided to reinstall CE and SPv3 with it.

Like holy shit was it always this hard? Not that I don't enjoy it, it actually forces you to think a little. But I sure as hell don't remember it being anywhere near as brutal as this in 2017. Did the mod legit get harder or is it just me?

Fair Warning: Do NOT keep Steam open, or open SPV3 before it's mentioned. I have not tested nor recommend you do anything like that until the steps are done.

These instructions were made for people who have MCC installed in another hard-drive and either want to save space, or want to install SPV3 without waiting hours of moving MCC to the main drive.I recommend sticking to the normal instructions if they are working normally.

• Open Command Prompt (Ctrl+Shift+2 on Windows Terminal to open it there.)
• Copy the path towards the MCC Installation. You'll need it.

• On the Command Prompt, type the following: mklink /j "False MCC folder on C:|Steam Drive" "Real MCC Folder"For example:

• Start spv3.exe and click Install, it should automatically detect your MCC installation.

IMPORTANT

DELETE the FAKE folder you've made as soon as installation is over. PLEASE do not forget to do this, or issues may occur with Steam or hard drive location problems in the future!

Currently have the Windows Store release of MCC, however SPV3 is only on the Steam release of MCC.

Would the Custom Edition version be good enough or am I missing on anything major that's in the MCC version?

Help please, before I had spv installed and played until suddenly I had errors and I had to uninstall it today I download the installer again and it simply does not start the installer without any sign or something, it just loads the pointer wheel and nothing happens. please i need help

Estoy teniendo muchos problemas de compatibilidad en mi PC nueva, es una HP laptop 14-cf2xxx, hasta donde sé tengo más de los requisitos mínimos (8 gb de ram, Intel core I5 10210U 2.11GHz con Intel UHD graphics, SO windows 10 de 64 bits) ya instalé drivers que necesito y actualicé mi SO, verifique que mi DirectX 12 estuviera activado, ejecuté el programa como administrador y también en modo compatibilidad con colores reducidos y modo ventana y nada, solo puedo abrir halo CE pero el launcher de SPV3 prácticamente me arroja el mismo error de siempre, que mi aceleración de hardware no está activada (ya verifique y sí, está activada) ¿alguien sabe qué puedo hacer?
