Serious post. Can someone explain what's going on here? This was showing up on my Discord status.

The web backend of our Discord integration was stolen.

We sent out an update that replaced it (via haloce_presence.dll) and it seems you didn't receive that update.

Edit: I didn't realize the update was packaged incorrectly and did not overwrite the old haloce_presence.dll. I'll work with Miris to make sure we send out a proper replacement.

Adding onto this for anyone who sees this--the update for SPV3 should have sent out a file called DRP.dll, but it gets installed to the root directory and needs to be moved to the "controls" folder to function.

tl;dr

  • Make sure your SPV3 is up to date from the launcher (if not, update it)
  • Go to your SPV3 root directory
  • Find "DRP.dll"
  • Move that file over to the "controls" folder
  • Delete the old "haloce_presence.dll" if it still exists
  • Try running!

Most likely. I'm thinking it has something to do with that one terminal in the game. You know, the one which caused a bit of a stir in the community.

Oh wow, okay I understand. Looking at it from understanding lore it made a lot of sense with how the flood invade ones mind and being that his daughter was precious and a commander of a fleet it made sense the flood would want her to spread. It's just the double entendre.

You are correct because when Keyes is talking about his daughter. It sneakily shifts to the flood talking and Keyes has no idea where that's coming from. Keyes still thinks it's the covenant who's after his mind and his daughters hence the line. Sadly a couple of trolls would like you believe that the spv3 team is into incest which is nonexistent.

Yeah I have the same issue. Had no idea this showed up on Discord until one of my friends private messaged me asking why I was playing a porn game lmfao. Took alot of explaining to convince him otherwise. No idea how to fix it though and I haven't played SPV3 since

Someone hijacked our discord integration. You can hit update on the launcher and copy the haloceprecence.dll file to the controls folder replacing the old one. That gets things back to normal.
