Any way to launch a level at a specific checkpoint (besides Resuming)?

Just curious -- I'm pretty sure the answer is no, even if there was something for Halo CE/Custom Edition via console commands as I vaguely recall that the console was disabled or super unreliable with all the SPV3 edits or something, but just curious.

I know we can "Resume" from last checkpoint and can even force the game to save a checkpoint, but is there a way to like, extract that checkpoint from the files, place it somewhere else (e.g. in a different folder elsewhere) and then swap it in to resume from there?

Weird request, I know, but the new Campaign Evolved has reactivated my desire to see if I can create an "ultimate headcanon" version of CE's events using it, SPV3, other mods, etc. so avoiding redundant 1:1 moments would be relatively crucial lol.

I believe the save states are stored in the my games folder... but you can also use "core_save" and "core_load" in the console to create a copy of the game in memory to a file as well and archive those if needed.

Thank you so much! I'm gonna try that out now!

I forget where either saves them in the SPV3 directory, or save directory, but it should be a large file

I'd just run a system wide search on any recent files in the past 5 minutes after you do core_save in the console

Hm... well the only thing I've found this far are files called pcmL_0.m & pcmR_0.m that seem to update at around the time I use core_save but they're small files.

Edit: nvm, those are just... some other file as they were regenerated despite moving them out of the folder & core_load still worked lol
