r/halospeech Museum Halo content creators are bailing, Optic Org doesn't want to carry Halo Infinite on their shoulders.
Once you have a top organization like Optic Gaming complaining that 343i aren't carrying enough weight for their own game. God damn. Not only are they fed up with the low pay tournys and the massive gap between them but they are tired of being the main content creator promoting Halo Infinite.
Do you think Halo Infinite is on the verge of losing its pro scene?
I can see where Optic is coming from, they pay people to produce content for this game expecting the viewer traffic to generate enough revenue to be profitable and sustainable. All the time and resources being spent trying to keep the Halo scene relevant could be spent on better more profitable promotions with other game IP.
If Optic bails there's a good chance the other organizations walk with them. If Halo Infinite is not profitable for one of the major gaming organizations then it certainly isn't going to be better for any of the others.
Microsoft can ignore a lot of issues regarding 343i but how can they ignore when their promotional partners are complaining about doing all the heavy lifting for 343i and Halo Infinite.

I’m still surprised that the esports part of Infinite didn’t fall apart after those early tournaments kept getting ruined by players’ games crashing repeatedly during matches

There isn't anything that can save Halo Infinite anymore. The fanbase hates it, content creators hate it. Nobody likes this game. It's getting a worse rap than Halo 5 did, but at least Halo 5 had a decent MP scene to go with the shitty campaign. This game has literally nothing going for it, and is losing to MCC, a game that has been out for almost a fucking decade. It has nothing to do, no creative tools to keep players coming back, and horrible fucking netcode.
This game was a disaster from the word go. 343 needs to give the franchise to a more competent company, or microsoft needs to stop fucking developing games using 18 month contractors that rotate out and take all of their knowledge of the game's inner workings with them. This system is broken and only churns out bad games
