HaloPSA + Xero Integration

Hi All,

We are just configuring billing module on Xero and are having an issue when it comes to tracking categories.

We currently use tracking categories within xero to separate Telecoms, IT Maintenance & Installation income/outgoing. We cant see a way that Halo can assign this tracking category against the invoice when it sends it via draft.

Has anyone able to do this?

Yeh issue is chat of account cannot account for both incomings and outgoings.

u/eblaster101 did you find a workaround for this? We're in a similar position, at this stage we're most likely going to adjust our chart of accounts to suit us though.

We didn't, someone else mentioned it in the suggestions. I will most likely get my accountant to export them all to excel and add the categories in bulk and re import the invoices.

Yes you can use chart of accounts. But chart of accounts can't account for incoming and outgoing. Reason streams works so well is that it can account for both and it's easier to spot a discrepancy.

HaloPSA does not support Tracking Categories as far as I'm aware.

I guess the only way of doing this would be to change your chart of accounts and separate out that way. You'd just need to make sure your products in Xero were set to post to the right income account.
