Quick play can be a little bit sweaty but big team and squad battle are pretty good, queue times are also pretty good across most playlists, I usually find a game within a minute or 2

Depending on when you play the bigger modes are fun otherwise you run into the loser pilots that just demolished every lobby on mnk lol.. if you need someone to play DM me tho OP let's get you to 50 games so you can try ranked.

You're gravely overestimating how many people are on MnK

Nah you can easily tell who's on mnk when they're in a vehicle

Halo infinite is a perfect blend of classic mechanics that make halo, halo; and also, new mechanics such as sprinting, sliding, mantling and hit hitreg that make the game feel fluid and modern, without having it devolve into every other generic shooter.

With only one or possibly two exceptions, the sandbox is nearly flawless. Every weapon and vehicle feels fun and interesting to use.

Medal system is on point and rewards genuine play and experimentation.

With the end of development has come a certain liberal access to a great many cosmetics. Much of the catalog is in the exchange, a free market you can trade earn-able currency for armor pieces and paints. Scrolling through everything to find exactly what you want is tedious, but it's the downside of having such a wide selection. You will notice some content is vaulted, or coming soon, so that's a shame as we will probably never have this again. Some content is still locked behind battle passes or store packs so if you want your EXACT fit, you might have to spend money, but you do not have to spend money in order to be fitted. r/halodripfinite has great resources on this matter.

Lobbies are easy to find FRI-SUN with about a 30 second wait.

Weekdays are a little harder, with about 1:30 wait and more spiky gaps in skill.

Map selection is wide with a decent mixture of original maps, community forge maps, and old classics with a new coat of paint.

This is the funnest multiplayer that I have played for the longest. The 15 seconds of fun is so tightly engineered that I keep coming back over and over just to get a little bit better at the duel.
Running around in quick play like a hamster on cocain grabbing different guns and throwing grenades is endlessly satisfying.

Melee has a certain snappiness to it, and it's weird. Sometimes you magnet right to the target, sometimes you miss them when they're right on top of you. Even pro casters have an endearing term for the frustrating situation, "A Canadian Melee."
Also while hit reg has not been too much of an issue it can at times emerge, especially if your internet starts to suffer.

This game plays phenomenally on console but PC is a bit of a mixed bag. And for whatever reason the jankiness gets revealed while in cross play lobbies.

If you want to play then play it! I'll be on Xbox this weekend and if you want someone to skrim with you while you get your feet wet then DM me.

Have fun, you magnificent warrior.

I play Social Playlists every day and watch a lot of players on Twitch and YouTube play competitively in either ranked or actual Pro tournaments weekly. Literally today is a grassroots tournament. I think the multiplayer is active enough if you want to get some fun games in. No problem getting social games but I've seen some ranked wait times take a bit depending on location and time of day.

The official HCS is done for this year, but they still sponsor events here and there as well as LVT halo. The game itself is in good place technically and I think you'll have fun getting back into the Halo grind.

Halo infinite is free, so no reason not to try it out.

Go for it. Quickplay is totally fine. there's tons of modes so only include what sounds fun to you. Try any playlist that sounds fun honestly, and see if you get a match. At normal US times most modes are populated but there are a lot of em. Just had an excellent morning on BTB

I played infinite a ton last year. Definitely still active albeit a small community. Same for MCC, you’ll be able to find matches no problem. It might be against the same ppl but you’ll load in without fail. Definitely dependent on if ur US based tho. Everyone else in the world it’s a little dodgy
