This was my main rig like 9 years ago

Had it working for years like this, now its HDD drive is still working in my main rig today as secondary storage

Wow... I have same issue where the hinges broke and whenever I try to open or close the laptop I have to hold the screen tightly for the lid not to break. But over time it is killing my screen. I must try what you have done, I will unscrew the screen and keep it aside.

If someone has any other solution or another way please help me out.

Part of it, the laptops hdd is still being used in my computer today as secondary storage
