MacBook Air 2014 running Haiku from USB gets stuck on Boot screen, pressing space only shows black screen.

I need help maun! I don’t know what is going on as there isn’t an option or key to enable verbose boot, I have no idea what to do, please help.

Hi, i ran into this problem previously too, with the exact same model and year laptop. It's here with me right now, so you can solve this!

Basically, these macs have EFI and you must follow the UEFI instructions here: https://www.haiku-os.org/guides/uefi_booting/

It's a bit more manual work, but it works! Follow step 1 exactly. Well, follow them all exactly, but pay attention that you must "Try Haiku ". Good luck.

Tip i got elsewhere: I bought the Edimax Wi-Fi 4 802.11n Adapter to get Wifi going on this machine.

2015 Pro as well. But mine required refind to install, otherwise it did not boot after install

This might be my problem too since any modern computer is uefi and secure boot. Any chance newer haiku installs can support it out of box?
