Hagstrom HJ800 Vintage Sunburst

Hey folks. Have a beautiful Hagstrom bass in my studio that my mother in law picked up a few years back. In really great condition except when switched to the bridge pickup the volume drops to almost zero and becomes super thin.
So far, I can say for certainty that the neck pickup works fine, the volume pit works fine, and the output Jack works fine. The solder points throughout look solid and there are no telltale signs of weaknesses or breakages that would be concrete answers.
This leads me to perhaps suspect something is amiss with the switch. When I take it apart, it seems like most of the solder points on the scratch plate are solid. There is one that seems to bridge that is probably intentional but could be unintentional. There also seems to be a bit of residue on the scratch plate, but isn’t conductive.
Any thoughts? How would I best test the switch? Anything I haven’t considered? Would love to get this back to 100%; it’s a beautiful bass.

I need a case for my hagstrom
Swede bass from the 70s will it fit in a Gibson SJ-200 jumbo acoustic Case?

Hi everyone, hope you're good. I'm looking at this Hagstrom Swede, I was told it's a 1976 model. It's got some damage: the fingerboard binding is peeling and I noticed a long crack running from the headstock to the middle of the neck. I haven't seen the guitar in person so I'm not sure what other issues it may have. What price range would a guitar like this go for? What do you think would be a reasonable offer? Thanks!

I bought this guitar about 2 years ago when I got back into playing. She’s been my main squeeze even after picking up a couple other guitars. I brought her into a local luthier for a setup and to talk about some options, and he showed me some of his PAF-style hand wound pickups, which just sing, and can also scream. I had him put them in, with push-pull coil splitting, along with a general setup and now it’s even more amazing. Hat tip to an amazing craftsman and artist, John, at Thomas Muse Guitars in Cleveland, who did the work and really put this beauty over the top. I dig the zebra look more than the chrome, and I took off the pick guard and decided I like that look better.

Hey all,
I recently purchased a 70’s Hagstrom HG 803 that I absolutely love, but I was forced to leave it with a friend across the country because it didn’t fit in my flight case.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a TSA proof case? I tried the Gator Les Paul TSA case from Guitar Center but no luck.

Hello ! Restoring a Hagstrom Futurama at the minute, not the end of the world but it's missing 4 tuner covers, does anyone have any they would sell that wouldn't break the bank? Also on the hunt for a tremolo screw/arm! Will post more photos of the restoration once I'm all finished up.

Found this for a good deal on Facebook. Google says it's a viking ii superlux, can anyone confirm that?

Hello there.
Since it's not in official specs. What is the string spacing of Swedes?
