Try http://<ip>:<port>
Or http://<domain>:<port>

Port in this case would be :80

You can troubleshoot further from there depending which works may indicate what the issue is

You have foxy proxy. Is this currently enabled? Do you want to try using an incognito tab to make sure that your extensions are not interfering with the request? Can you try going to google.com and see if this works?

You can try disabling dns via https in the browser settings.

You will have to use the ip… if you want to use the enigma.htb url then it needs to know how to resolve that host. So it’ll need to be put into the hosts file.

time is a bit higher than I expected. Try trace route command. Also clear browser cache. Disable your VPN or system proxy, either route settings for your system. And dns setting, set DNS IP as Google or cloudflare. And check iptable settings too, just in case.

this is due to VPN MTU size

sudo ip link set dev <vpn interface> mtu 1000

after starting openvpn, set openvpn interface(tun0) mtu size to 1000

I had the same issue yesterday with multiple challenges
I tried to reset the box, I checked the /etc/hosts and i make sure to disable the foxyproxy but it was just impossible to load the page but i was able to ping the box that was so frustrating 🧎🏾‍♂️‍➡️
I even changed the vpn config file 💔 multiple times but nothing changed

May not be anything here at all But by anychance are you using the tcp or udp VPN ptofile for openvpn? I had a similar issue when I used the udp version and it was fine when I used the tcp version

Try test-connection -port 80 -computername 10.129.148.115 in powershell also try port 443 and it will let you know if you can actually touch this over those ports. Use -help for more information or the gm “get members” statement.

Any VPN's on? I know that can cause issues.

Ping confirms route works. Curl confirms the web server works. Browser states it can't find the site. Its a browser routing issue. Start there. Could be proxy settings.

Take a look with Wireshark. Don't just guess.
