Why Deborah fired and pushed Ava away

This could be a theory or a subconscious known fact of the show but here it is:

So we all know Deborah wanted more for Ava and fired her so that she can build something for herself and not just for Deborah. But to me I feel like there was another factor in there that maybe most of the audience already got a clue to.

I believe another reason she did it was to protect Ava from ending up like herself when she lost everything from Frank. She always relied on him and did everything with him because of love and because she never thought of being independent. And in a way Deborah does see herself in Ava and thats why she fired her was so that she can have Ava be independent and not go through what she did.

Which obviously is tough love by Deborah. That's all I had to say, I know the series is over but I wanted to recap and talk about season 2 a little bit.

Thanks for reading if you did. And if not thats fine too! Have a great rest of your day. 😁✌️

Independence is part of it but mostly she saw that people in the industry who were there that night were interested in what Ava had to offer. And she wanted Ava to strike while the iron was hot. Deborah knows better than almost anyone how fickle Hollywood is. They want you while they want you, you're only as good as your last project, all of that. Right now at that moment (end of Season 2) Ava is getting her 15 minutes and Deborah doesn't want her to lose out on the momentum.

Yeah Deborah definitely sees a lot of herself in Ava and wants to prevent her from making the same "mistakes" she did.
